Rebatched Rose and Coconut Mango Soaps

Description

In March 2014, after seeing, buying, and receiving soaps by artists, I became curious and searched online for information about soap making.  Interested, I stupidly decided to try my hands on the simplest method, rebatching, to make little gifts for friends.  Unfortunately, I wasted so much time as well as 1 1/2 bar of soaps on failure: wrong equipment, incorrect amount of ingredients, and worst of all, bad judgment and timing.

This is the procedure I followed:
1) Shave and grate bar soap into a pot or microwave safe cup.
2) Add just enough water to cover the soap shavings.
3) Mix in other ingredients.
4) Heat in increments at 50% power in the microwave or on low heat over stove until the soap melts or becomes paste.
5) Pour the liquid soap or scoop the soap paste with a spoon into butterfly and duck silicon ice trays.
6) Wait at least 24 hours for the soap to harden.
7) Remove the soaps for the ice tray molds and let it sit until dry and hard.

If I fail, but the soap is still reusable, I put all the failures together, remelt, and reshape.  As you can see, these are still failures.  For ingredients, I usually used coconut oil, olive oil, cinnamon, paprika, mint, camomile, ginger, and honey.  The first pair is from a bar of rose soap with too much cinnamon and paprika, and the second pair is from a bar of coconut mango soap.  The rest were mostly a combination of those two scents with different amounts of ingredients.
