Metal Snake Donut Plushie

After learning to make a donut plushie at PMX 2013, I slowly started making more of them for gifts and entertainment.  After making a water snake donut beanbag for my nephew, I decided to also make a metal snake donut plushie (pictured in the center) for my father since he was born in the Year of the Metal Snake.

These are the steps I went through for the plushie:
1) Cut out the donut shape from two pieces of tan felt and one piece of gray felt.
2) Cut the gray piece of felt into a snake ring shape, leaving a slit at the mouth.
3) Cut out the forked tongue from pink felt and stripes from white felt.
4) Stitch the 3 pieces of donut-shaped felt together at the donut's center.
5) Sew the mouth at the slit with the tongue under the gray felt.
6) Sew on stripes and the buttons for the eyes on the gray layer.
7) Stitch the side of the donut partway.
8) Stuff the donut with old scraps of fabric.
9) Finish sewing the donut up.

Once again, it turned out badly due to supply and financial limits and unsteady hands.
